Technical Investigation (Detailed Subsurface Evaluation)
In this phase, the subsurface conditions are investigated in greater detail using technical methods. The goal is to refine previous findings, identify the most promising drilling locations, and prepare all necessary steps for test drilling and performance verification.
1. Geophysical investigation
☐ Geophysical survey completed
Geophysical methods are used to obtain detailed information about subsurface structures without drilling. The results help to identify variations in soil and rock properties and to locate potential aquifer zones more precisely.
2. Selection of drilling targets
☐ Potential drilling locations selected
Based on the interpretation of geological and geophysical data, the most promising drilling sites are identified. These locations are selected based on expected aquifer depth, permeability, and accessibility, while less favorable areas are excluded.
3. Preparation of test drilling
☐ Test drilling planned
A test drilling program is prepared to confirm subsurface conditions under real field conditions. This includes defining drilling depth, method, and expected geological layers to be encountered.
4. Pumping test design
☐ Pumping test planned
A pumping test is designed to evaluate aquifer performance under operational conditions. This includes assessing sustainable yield, drawdown behavior, and long-term stability of the groundwater source.
